1. The actual release date of the 2009 bikes will be at a trade show. Every company is different when it comes to updating their website.

2. 2008 bikes have either completed production or are approaching final runs. After the final production runs they will sell from stock until it is gone. The company I work with had their last production on May 1 for 2008 model bikes.

3. This is a difficult question. Since there was a significant increase in prices at the manufacturing level, between 10% and 15%, most companies had a decision to make- either raise prices and keep the level of components currently on the bike models, or maintain pricing and reduce the grade of parts. So, the question will be whether the dealer will take advantage of this price increase/grade decrease to maintain profit margin on 2008 models or whether they will drop prices as they traditionally have to clear out the old stock. If it were me, I’d take the former approach and hold prices steady.

The days of the high quality bike at low prices is over, I’m afraid.
